July 20th, 2010New Stuff!
July 16th, 2010One of my favorite things, given the right mood, is shopping. Especially shopping for the store. And I’ve been doing just that… Now you’ll begin to reap the benefits.
This week we received beautiful new Atenti bags. These bags are all hand-made in California from beautiful and durable materials. You have to see them to believe them.
Addi needles have FINALLY arrived! After a very long wait, our big shipment of Addi’s arrived last Friday. We worked feverishly to get them on the shelf for you by Saturday morning. Be careful, though - now we’ve rearranged the shelves to accomodate some new lengths to serve your needle needs even better! Addi Clicks should arrive within a couple of weeks, and the Lace Clicks that we’ve all been waiting so patiently for are currently scheduled for the end of summer or beginning of fall. They’ll be worth the wait, though!
Berroco will start arriving next week, as well as Madelaine Tosh and Shibui! I can’t wait for these new yarns! I have to say… There are some truly AMAZING yarns for the fall. And lots of chunky! That means we can accomplish things at lightning speed and have time to use all the yarns that we want instead of having to choose. And I promise - you’ll want to use them all!
Insel Haus
July 16th, 2010The time has come when our dear friend Christa up at Insel Haus must make her B&B available to other guests. That doesn’t mean we don’t still have room available - it just means that we don’t have quite as much room.
This trip is a once-in-a-really-long-time opportunity for knitters. We’ll travel to Bois Blanc Island up in the Straits for a full weekend of knitting, classes, great food, and wonderful friends. The trip takes place August 20-23. The low cost of $350 includes your accomodations for three nights, ALL meals (!), and SIXTEEN HOURS of classes with either Christa or Lori! So let’s break this down…. Sixteen hours of workshops in the store would run about $160 or more. Let’s figure 6 meals per person. Eating out would probably cost $100 or more. So that’s $260 of your $350. That leaves $30 per night for accomodations at a summer resort island. Does it get better than that?! More information is available in the newsletter, and as of right now there is still room available. We will NOT be making this trip annually, so please don’t put if off until next year. Come join us for an amazing girls’ weekend away.
Castle Farms
July 16th, 2010This year’s annual trip to Castle Farms will be on Saturday, July 24th. We’ve teamed up with Heritage to rent a bus, so no one has to drive all the way up or all the way back - you can save your energy for lots of shopping! There’s more information in our newsletter (if you didn’t receive one you can click the link to the left). There are still a few seats left, but don’t delay - they’re filling quickly!
